If someone asked me why we do what we do, I might just start telling them about our bride and groom, Lauren and Jason. One of the most rewarding things at Ocean Hawks Rentals is that we get to create something unique just for our clients and watch it all come to life on their wedding day.
Lauren and Jason wanted a special reveal for their rustic chic outdoor Florida ceremony. They loved the idea of walking through some sort of doorway but had no luck finding the right piece in town. That’s when we jumped in and started sketching their ideas. We designed farm wood sliding doors and built the structure on a track so Lauren and her father could seamlessly walk through. This was one of several details our team customized specially for their day.
Their farm wood tables were built from scratch with a special trim, wide enough to display a gorgeous wooden overhang with exotic pink mink proteas, scabiosa blooms, dahlia and ranunculus floral delicately arranged by Lee James Floral. The overhangs also displayed industrial lights from Get Lit Productions that added the perfect mood lighting to each table setting.
And who could miss their beautiful wedding cake It sat on one of our wine barrels with a gorgeous living backdrop created by Lee’s team.
We also transformed the lobby with two unique displays. To the right, we set up their photo-booth consisting of a wood and hedge wall backdrop that supported a large gold antique mirror with the couple’s names sandblasted onto it. The focal point was our Erica vintage upholstered sofa.
On the other side of the room was everyone’s favorite booth. A custom candy bar vignette. Our farm wood wall backdrop displayed a gorgeous sign created by Do Tell Calligraphy with an assortment of sweet treats on our antique metal trays and pedestals.
On that day, we surprised the couple with the final product of all the custom pieces. When the ceremony began and our doors slid open, seeing Lauren and Jason’s expression was priceless. It was a little rewarding reminder of why we work so hard day in and day out.
