Rich Jewel Tones Bring Life to a Restored Historic Treasure in Florida

Driving through the scenic Howey-in-the-Hills in Florida between the orange groves, you might stumble across a hidden historic gem, The Howey Mansion.  For years the mansion has been kept from the public, vines wrapped around the building and the gates remained shut. That is until its new owner recently breathed life back into the structure and opened its doors not only to the public but to brides as well.

Stepping foot inside the mansion for the first time was like stepping back to when it was first built in the 1920s. A grand iron entrance and spiral staircase greeted us, and who could miss the original fireplace. This is exactly what we wanted to accentuate in our styled shoot. Our goal was to showcase the beauty of Mr. Howey's home, bring liveliness with rich jewel tones and incorporate one of a kind vintage pieces that we can only imagine covered the halls of the mansion at one time.

It didn't take a whole village, but it did take a talented team of passionate vendors to make this vision a reality. Our Ocean Hawks Rentals team designed and styled each space with our collection of unique vintage treasures, custom builds, antique furniture and eclectic prop rentals. The Orlando Flower Market filled each scene with free flowing arrangements and perfectly lined delicate little blooms along the iron doors of the mansion almost like a fairytale. With the coordination of Plan It Events, assortment of tabletop pieces by Dishie Rentals, and the eye catching fashion of Solutions Bridal, the mansion was transformed into a jewel toned dream for the day.

We hope this collection of priceless images by Emma Anne Photography gives you a little inspiration and takes you on a tour of this new historic wedding venue. Enjoy!
